Hey there Voxie Community!

Hope everyone is wrapping up their year happy and healthy.  As 2023 draws to a close at AlwaysGeeky Games, we find ourselves in a great place and on the cusp of a new chapter in our journey for Voxie Tactics. 

Over the past year our team has been focused on building out our world in Unity! Over the course of this last week, I’ve had the chance to get together with you on a couple of different occasions to provide an update and “state of play” so to speak.  It was a lot of fun! I was pleased to see so many Voxie community members join in to learn how Voxie Tactics is no longer just a work-in-progress in Unity; it's playable.  More on that next! 

As we continue on with the polishing required inside Unity and as we look forward to a **Q1, 2024** release, I want to take this opportunity to peel back the curtain and give you a glimpse into what we've accomplished, what lies ahead and of course a few new milestones! It wouldn’t be fun without also touching on that!

I’d also like to take some time in this letter to speak a little bit on security and anti-cheat measures being taken that we know are foundational to our success.  This is one area that I am personally very excited about. 

###### Our Achievements with Voxie Tactics and Unity

I'm thrilled to share some of the significant strides made in bringing Voxie Tactics to life in Unity. We've reached that exciting point with our Unity build where our world itself is no longer just a dream, but a playable game! Now, what does “playable" mean exactly? Here's a glimpse!

- **Complete 3D Models:** Our virtual world is fully realized with the completion of all 3D models. This includes our Voxies, various items specific to Voxie Tactics, and the intricately designed maps that form the backbone of our game's universe.
- **Networking Gameplay Mechanics:** We've successfully implemented key networking gameplay mechanics. This includes features like multiplayer capabilities and a matchmaking system, ensuring an engaging and connected player experience.
- **Core Gameplay Mechanics:** The essence of Voxie Tactics – playing and winning matches – is fully operational. These core mechanics are the heart of our game, and we're proud to see them come to fruition.
- **New Gameplay Enhancements:** We've also introduced new gameplay enhancements that are now fully functional and ready to enhance the gaming experience.
- **Revamped Game Architecture and Battle UI:** Our team has reimagined and reconstructed the game's architecture and battle user interface, making the gameplay more intuitive and visually appealing.

###### Looking Ahead and Polishing for Release

As we look forward to the first quarter of 2024, our focus shifts to polishing for the release. What does this entail?

- **Adding the Finishing Touches:** Polishing up for us means meticulously adding those final touches and rigorously testing every aspect of the game.
- **Special Effects:** We're excited to bring in special effects, like explosions and magical elements, adding depth and excitement to the gameplay.
- **Advanced Mechanics:** Our team is fine-tuning advanced mechanics, such as status effects and elemental damage, to provide a more enriched gaming experience.
- **Animations and Comprehensive Testing:** We are not only enhancing animations for a more lifelike experience but also ensuring everything operates seamlessly through thorough testing.

###### New Milestones 

We set ourselves a goal to not only build Voxie Tactics inside Unity but also to evolve it, taking the game to a higher level. I'm excited to introduce a few of the new milestones that should significantly enhance the player experience, focusing on a more intuitive and engaging game architecture for Voxie selection and team building. These updates are designed to deepen the strategic aspect of the game, making it more accessible and enjoyable for players of all levels. Let’s have a look! 

- Firstly, we've **revamped our naming conventions** for clearer character identification, transforming **"Recruits" into "Starter Voxies."**
- This change is complemented by an **updated Voxie Selection Page**, enriched with detailed information about each character's class and race abilities, helping players make informed decisions that align with their playstyle. 
- Furthermore, our **new Team Selection feature** simplifies understanding team synergies, intuitively guiding players in creating powerful and complementary team compositions.
- And, adding a layer of depth, each Starter Voxie now comes with **unique, randomly assigned stats,** introducing an element of surprise and strategy in character selection.

These new milestone updates represent our commitment to continually enhancing the gaming experience!

###### Security and Anti-Cheat Measures

One of the most important items in this update for me, and an absolute critical aspect of the Unity game build, was improving upon support for security and anti-cheat measures. Not going to sugar coat this, together we have faced numerous issues with the current Voxie Tactics game client and those issues are often centered around cheating and exploitation by bad actors. Therefore, one of the key improvement components of our Unity build was to support a new **100% anti-cheat** environment. I’m proud to say we have achieved this, and done so by executing on the following. Can’t wait to see these new measures in action when the Unity game launches in early 2024. Let’s dive in! 

- This first starts with ensuring that all critical **game data and gameplay validations** are done on the server side. If all the data and game processing is done server side, there is no way that anybody can hack or cheat in their local clients. This is a setup employed by all top quality game studios and how all online games prevent cheating and hacking.
- Second, with this setup, will also ensure that **no players will have an unfair advantage against their opponents due to factors outside of the game**. Let the skill based gameplay that everyone loves in Voxie Tactics lead the way! So for example, there will be no advantage to players located in different regions around the world and with different internet capabilities or various ‘pings’. Also there will be no advantage to anyone based on their hardware setup or system requirements, so no matter what laptop or physical device the game is being played on, it will be a fair playing field for everyone.
- Next, we’ve ensured that the **core gameplay and battle logic of the game was written from the ground up** and built using a solid architecture and code-based foundation. Therefore there will be no issues with certain gameplay elements not working as intended, such as overlapping status effects, or some status effects not working and compromising the game. 
- Finally, the game client enhancement that comes with the **100% Unity server based architecture** for Voxie Tactics means that we will be able to fully remove any data synchronization issues that players have encountered with the current version of the game. Therefore two players will never be able to have their games get out of sync and they won't ever see a different battlefield setup to their opponents.

This is a very exciting chapter for the re-launch of Voxie Tactics on Unity and our goal is to make the playing environment and battlefield as safe and secure for our players as ever before!

###### Built For The Future

I thought it would be nice to wrap up this letter looking ahead! On this week's streams, Brad and I talked about some of the opportunities that lie ahead as we scale. This part is super exciting!  With our Unity build, we are now built for the future in a way that the current legacy game was not intended for. What’s going to be fun is seeing that new and natural part of our games' transition start to occur. Here are a few key snippets from what I had shared on the **State of Play Twitch Stream** on Wednesday.  See below!

- The introduction of a **mobile version** of the game, designed to bring Voxie Tactics right to your fingertips, wherever you are!
- In terms of gameplay, we're taking things to the next level with **improved gameplay and strategy mechanics**. This includes the introduction of tile-based modifications and traps, adding a new layer of strategic depth to each battle. We're also excited to unveil summoning spells, which will open up new possibilities in how you engage in combat. Alongside these, improvements in stealth and invisibility mechanics are set to make tactical gameplay even more thrilling. Furthermore, armor sets will now come with unique bonuses, providing players with additional ways to customize their strategies and gameplay style.
- **Aesthetic customization** is also getting a significant boost. We're introducing a range of cosmetic equipment, allowing players to modify their Voxies' appearances in more ways than ever. This will tie in nicely with our new collections feature, giving players the chance to showcase their unique style and achievements.
- Implementation of a **Battlepass system**. This system will bring a new dynamic to the game, offering rewards and challenges that keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
- Finally, we're focusing on **enhancing the player versus player (PVP)** aspect of Voxie Tactics. Gear score and matchmaking updates are in the works, aimed at creating different tiers for a fairer, more balanced PVP experience. These updates will ensure that battles are matched on skill and strategy, making for a more enjoyable and competitive environment for all our players.

Stay tuned for these exciting developments as we continue to build a game that's not just fun to play but also a delight to explore and experience.

#### A New Era of Legendary Smelting begins in The Arcanists Forge!

A new legendary update has been granted iron stamped approval from The Arcanist! Specifically, a new Forge update to the Legendary Smelting process. Previously, this process required 3 legendary items plus 1000 VOXEL to create a new Legendary item or a special reward. Now, it has been made more accessible, needing only 2 legendary items and 1000 VOXEL for the same output! 

As a refresher, in Rare Smelting, players still combine 10 rare items with 10 VOXEL to receive either 1 Epic item or 1 special reward and in Epic Smelting, players still require 10 epic items and 100 VOXEL to obtain either 1 Legendary item or 1 special reward. 

But that's not all, we have brand new rewards available in all 3 Smelting recipes!

There are 14 New Item Rewards available; a total of 9 new Legendary Resistance Necklaces, 1 new Special Movement Necklace, 1 new Epic Translucent Infusable Necklace and 3 new Legendary Weapons!

Hello there everyone!  

It’s been some time since we last wrote. Rest assured, the Voxies team has been here, packing each week with activity and progress. After a short hiatus, Dev Diaries are back! And will be here for you on a more regular basis.

So with that, let’s dive in!

###### Game Development - New and Current Progress
Growth in our game development team continues as we welcome a new Unity Developer and new energy into our project. This week we were putting the finishing touches on new character animations and the Placement UI and flow are now nearing completion, promising a more intuitive and engaging experience for our players. We've taken a significant leap in gameplay by refactoring Move and Attack Actions for local computation, and we've begun integrating Skill Actions, adding a new layer of strategy to the game.

Our current game version was improved this week when we added support for upcoming items that will be released in our updated forge recipes enhancing the crafting experience and bringing back new utility to the top end of the forging recipe tiers - stay tuned for exact details on the new 'legendary' recipes soon. Post-Halloween “Fright Night” Event, we're diligently squashing bugs, refining ward and other elemental resistance items, and tweaking UI elements to ensure a seamless experience. These improvements are all about enhancing current gameplay.

###### Game Design
In game design, we spent some time this week revamping designs for the Party Roster. An audit of the Class Pages online has also been started in partnership with the marketing team. Our focus on Class breakdown info pages, Narrative Design, and an expanded list of Skills/Abilities will enrich the game's depth when launched.

###### Game Economy 
A key focus of the economy this week has been the monetization viability and market and benchmark analysis that we’ve been conducting. As the winter holiday season approaches, we're also finalizing new and special events for the forge. More to come here!

###### Web Development
In web development, we worked on several bug fixes, updated the API v2 documentation and launched a new relist feature for the Voxies Marketplace that is set to make the user experience more dynamic. We also spent time this week getting the forge recipe ready for the Godly Blueprint Reveal Event and have started work on a new Questing platform for a marketing partnership forthcoming. 

###### Marketing 
Our marketing team was active preparing for the Godly Blueprint Reveal Event this week. The November Community Newsletter and our Voxie Tactics Dev Diaries were also a couple key activities for the week, aimed at offering players a peek behind the curtain! With an upcoming update to the Voxies website and a refresh of the Voxie Tactics branding and art, we're busy with improving and implementing new content and visuals.

Looking at past events that we've held so far this year, your input and enthusiasm have inspired us to take our Voxie visual experience to a whole new level!  So today, I’m going to focus the entirety of this letter on all things creative and share with you not only the visuals but also the strategy behind the visual enhancements our creative team has been working on.

We see the creative visuals being revealed today for Halloween as the launch of a new and improved visual experience for our future, one that will be shown for all our events and marketing as we move ahead for years to come!

In the realm of Game Development with Unity, the auditory experience of the game has been enriched with the addition of map music, ensuring players are fully immersed in the game world. The gameplay interface has seen several refinements, including tile highlighting and selection, providing a more intuitive experience for players. The progression of movement range promises to offer players more strategic depth in their gameplay.

###### Game Design
Game Design has been a hive of activity. The team has been focusing on Unity asset work, ensuring all game elements are visually appealing and functional. Skill and ability work within Unity is also underway, promising to bring new challenges and strategies for players to explore. On the Marketing front, the team has been proactive in keeping the community informed and engaged. A special Labour Day social post has been rolled out, and players can now enjoy the Voxies Marketplace Explainer Video Short, which provides a concise overview of the marketplace's features. Looking ahead, there's a lot of excitement brewing. The Polygon GDx Launch is scheduled for Monday, September 11, and the community can engage directly with the team during the Discord AMA in the Polygon Defi Server at 11 am EST on the same day. A Twitter Spaces Event is also lined up on the Polygon Defi Account on Tuesday, September 12, at 11 am EST. Other initiatives in the pipeline include Voxies Key Art Illustrations, 2D/3D visual updates, Halloween event planning, and a refreshing website overhaul.

###### Game Economy 
The Economy of the game is being meticulously crafted. The team is planning and polishing a new smelting forge recipe, ensuring players have a diverse crafting experience. Community feedback is invaluable, and plans are underway to gather insights for the guild service design. The logistics of these implementations are being sorted out, and the ranking reward design is undergoing iterations to ensure fairness and motivation for players.

###### Web Development
In Web Development, the team has been addressing various technical aspects to enhance the user experience. Several bug fixes have been rolled out, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. In Game Development, Unity has seen a series of significant updates. The map system has been finalized, and the team has successfully re-created maps specifically for Unity. Players can now experience enhanced map rendering, ensuring a visually immersive experience. The Turn UI/UX has undergone a complete revamp, making it more intuitive and user-friendly. The team is also diving deep into implementing pathfinding and has kickstarted the development of the Battle Backend. Additionally, equipment assets are being added and processed, ensuring a richer gameplay experience.

###### Game Design
Game Design has been bustling with activity. A new forge item design has been introduced, promising more crafting possibilities for players. The ranking reward system is under review, and the team is gearing up for a grand reveal of godly weapons and armour. Lore and quest building continue to be a priority, ensuring a captivating narrative for players. Balance changes are being rolled out, and the team is rigorously testing matchmaking and asset balance. Feedback from the community is invaluable, and the team is reviewing balance suggestions from the Discord community. An audit of items for Unity is also underway.

The team is also in the throes of Halloween planning, ensuring a spooky and fun-filled experience for players. Other notable projects include the Polygon PxP Launch, Adventure Pack Execution, Voxies Merch Store Execution for Q4, a website refresh, and the Unity Launch.

The Economy of the game is being strengthened and refined. Guild design is undergoing validation and polishing, ensuring a robust system for players to engage with. As August winds down, the Voxie Tactics team is in full throttle, ensuring that the Voxies community gets the best experience possible. The dedication and hard work of the team has only been getting stronger! 

So lets jump into what’s been going on. 

###### Game Development
In the realm of Game Development, there have been significant strides made, especially within Unity. The items database has seen a fresh update, with missing items assets now imported and processed. Battles are about to get a lot more exciting with the capability to dynamically spawn maps in the battle scene. This unpredictability is further heightened with the introduction of randomized maps. Players can also look forward to seeing characters come to life in battle maps, and the team is hard at work to seamlessly integrate pathfinding in battles.

###### Game Design
Game Design is another area where the team has been pouring their creativity. Weapons and armor for Unity are currently under audit, ensuring they align with the game's vision. Some of these weapons and armor are also undergoing a rework to enhance gameplay. Abilities are being expanded upon, with the intriguing 'Godly Ability' design being a notable addition. The narrative experience is also being enriched with new lore and quest designs. To ensure that all these elements come together harmoniously, balance testing is being conducted regularly.

###### Marketing 
On the Marketing front, the team has been proactive in reaching out to the community. The Dev Diary communication plan now extends to popular platforms like TikTok and YouTube, ensuring a wider reach. Special attention is being given to the Adventure Pack Execution and Voxies Merch Store Execution, with plans being finalized for both. Looking at what we've shared so far this year, your support and enthusiasm have not only propelled us forward, but are truly shaping Voxie Tactics. Today, I get to share some important new updates and milestones we've been tirelessly working towards.

First off, the revamped Voxies Marketplace is ready to impress! And let's not forget about our impending Unity launch—oh, the anticipation! And that's not all; our team is continuing to bring energy and ideas to the table, and I can't wait to share those with you.

So, without further ado, let's delve into the latest chapters of our story!

#### ROADMAP & SCHEDULE
In the vibrant and ever-evolving world of Voxie Tactics, we’re not just designing a game—we’re pioneering an adventure. Here's a deeper dive into the milestones we're reaching and the exciting things we're building for you:

###### The Grand Reveal: New Voxies Marketplace
We've been stoking the fires and sharpening our tools, and now it's time for the grand reveal—our new Voxies Marketplace. Our dedicated team has worked very hard on the new experience and design to bring you a platform like no other. Its launch marks not just a completion of a project but a testament to our commitment to provide you with an immersive and seamless experience. But this is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more exciting updates and enhancements coming your way in the months ahead!

###### Unity Launch: The Countdown Begins
In our quest for perfection, some projects demand more time and effort, and our game optimization with Unity is one such endeavor. As we gear up for a big launch this fall, we want you to know that we’re putting all we've got into this. This isn’t just another update, it’s a major leap in our journey and part of the most significant marketing push in our history. Get ready to witness Voxie Tactics like never before!

Our goal is to provide feature parity at launch, with some improvements, then regularly add new features. You can look forward to improved graphics, a revamped battle UI that's more intuitive and better looking, support for any screen resolution and ratio (including full screen), a more secure game, and anti-cheat features.

Behind the scenes, the Unity version and the new Unity Team will allow for more regular and meaningful updates, as well as better Quality Control. Post-Launch updates will include full controller support, new maps, new game modes, and even support for Mac OS/Linux and mobile. We're also working on a Single Player Adventure mode!

###### ELO and Rental Changes: Shaping the Future
We believe in the power of evolution, and that's why we're working to implement changes to our ELO and Rental system. It's an exciting transition that aims to reshape how you interact with Voxie Tactics. 

Elo decay is a mechanism that encourages players to stay active in the game. It's triggered when a player remains inactive or does not engage in matches for an extended period. The player's Elo rating gradually decreases over time until they resume playing matches. This system prevents top-ranked players from monopolizing the leaderboard without playing regularly. Once a player resumes playing matches, their Elo rating will start to adjust again based on their performance in the new games.

We're also working on making our rentals service more reliable with little to no downtime and faster response times.

Keep an eye out for these changes coming within the next month. We can’t wait to see how this enhances your gaming experience!


###### New Battle Passes: A New Chapter in Adventure
For the thrill-seekers and the seasoned players alike, we have some exciting news. We're crafting a new battle pass and a new adventure pack that are sure to take your Voxie adventures to new heights. Whether you're just starting your journey or have been with us for a while, there's going to be something exciting in store for you. 

**New Battle Pass:** These battle passes will give you access to exclusive cosmetic items and a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction as you complete challenges and milestones. You'll level up and earn rewards along the way, enhancing your gaming experience with the added motivation and excitement of working towards new unlocks and rewards. You'll also be able to participate in special challenges that are exclusive to Battlepass owners, providing additional opportunities for rewards and achievements.

**New Adventure Pack:** We're also introducing specially curated bundles with diverse benefits for players. These include three recruit resets for player progression, potions for strategic advantages in PvP Extreme Arena, a captivating cosmetic pet for companionship and engagement, and a fun explorer's backpack with unique items.These Adventure Packs are designed to attract new players with exclusive items, enhance gameplay experience and competitiveness, and generate revenue through competitive pricing and enticing items.

We have also made it possible for players to explore our Marketplace without the need to connect their wallet first, offering a smooth onboarding process.

And when you visit your profile page? Well, we’ve listened to you and we've carved out a personal corner just for you. Your profile page is a treasure trove of your achievements, collections, and listings—your unique story in the world of Voxie Tactics. With our brand-new user interface, you can now create a listing faster than ever before, and manage your purchase history and rented items, all in one convenient location.

And remember, this is just the beginning of our journey together in the new Voxies Marketplace. New features, updates, and improvements will keep rolling out. And we promise, you won’t want to miss a thing!

#### Data Analysis and Cheating
Over the past month, we've been putting a lot of effort into our data analysis tools and tightening up some policies and player rules related to cheating and bad player behavior. You may have noticed that we took action against some individuals for being idle in matches and also quitting out of matches to avoid a penalty, trying to get into other matches quicker than would normally be possible. These bans were intended to send a message to those players and also to inform the player community that this type of play is not acceptable. Players should never be "AFK" in a match - this is both frustrating for the opponent and also fosters a negative griefing attitude, which is not in the spirit of Voxie Tactics.

We've also improved our quit timeout penalty and other factors related to players quitting matches that they don't want to play. We always try to foster a fair-spirited game and play environment, and we encourage all players to play in the matches they are presented with. However, there are times when matchmaking might not be 100% balanced and if players decide to leave a match early, there is the option to do that BUT the quit penalty must be observed when this action is taken. Therefore, we've worked on these systems to direct the players in a more sportsman-like play style, and we'll be improving this on a continual basis as we head towards our brand new Unity release of the game.

We know that we have a very dedicated and passionate community and player base that are eager to assist and help with our crackdown on cheaters. While we encourage players to submit tickets and send in support for anything that appears suspicious and worth reporting, we would like to remind players that discord should not be used as a tool to accuse or witch-hunt other players, or to attempt to victimize other players.

#### Fast vs Competitive Matches
Speaking of the Unity release of the game, there will be many factors of the game and play styles that will be shaken up once the Unity game is released, so it's better for players to adapt to this change in attitude now. For example, one of the core aspects of the game that will be changed with the Unity release is that instead of favoring faster matches in Voxie Tactics as the preferred way to maximize the rewards after a battle, the reward system will be modified to better reward players who play smarter and better, rather than quickly. This will also include improved leaderboard and ranking rewards for players that are the most competitive and are ranked higher in the leaderboards. Another example is the systems that are in use to deter players from quitting out of matches super early, to avoid a long or competitive game, will be modified so players don’t want to just quit and give up early and get rewarded for actively participation in an effort towards winning, even if they ultimately lose the battle.

#### Polygon GameFi Partnership
The synergy between our marketing team and Polygon has created a unique GameFi Campaign which will be launching later this month. We've also put considerable effort into producing educational content around Voxie Tactics, which we hope you'll find valuable.

The power of our combined marketing channels and the attractive Learn & Play landing page on Voxie.io promise great things to come. I'm thrilled to see how this partnership unfolds!

#### Social Media Updates
We've actively begun posting on our TikTok account and have grown 8k followers since launch. We're pushing fun and cute content, so check it out to see your world of Voxies in a different light. We have new growth plans for Twitter, so be on the lookout! Our ambassadors continue to push content and we're looking to onboard some new ones!

#### AlwaysGeeky Games Team Update
Our team is growing and evolving, just like our vision!  We’re hiring 2 new members to support our Unity project and we’re working with a new contract artist to refine our look and feel to interpret the Voxies as 2D illustrations for marketing purposes.

Greetings Voxies Community,

I’m thrilled to connect with you all once again and share a few exciting new updates from AlwaysGeeky Games. Each month, I value this opportunity to communicate with you personally and provide a behind-the-scenes look at our progress.

Reflecting on our journey so far, I’m appreciative of the support and enthusiasm you have shown us. Your feedback and engagement have been invaluable in shaping our vision for the future of Voxies and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us next!

Today in this letter, I want to share some of the developments and milestones we've achieved from our Roadmap and most recently related to Dragonfest and PvE.  

I would also like to officially announce that we're launching a larger marketing partnership with Binance Academy on May 25th. 

And finally, take this opportunity to highlight several new team updates as we continue to build and grow.

So let’s get into it!

#### ROADMAP & SCHEDULE
We have been completing some exciting new projects since the last time I wrote.  Projects like the Sandbox NFT avatar launch and the addition of Infusion to our marketplace.  We have also been making progress on projects like the marketplace UI revamp and our game optimization with Unity.  

Here are more details on all the latest updates. 

###### COMPLETE OR CLOSE TO COMPLETE
- **Infusion added to marketplace**: This feature is now completed and will be even more impressive when we roll out our upcoming marketplace overhaul. 
- **Sandbox NFT Avatars**: Our team has been hard at work creating new Avatars and we're pleased that this project is now close to completion. Keep an eye out for our latest designs!

###### IN PROGRESS
- **Marketplace UI Revamp**: Our team has been busy designing the marketplace UI and making it more user-friendly. This project is well underway.
- **Game Optimization**: We're making good progress on the Unity version of Voxie Tactics and we can’t wait to share some sneak peeks in the coming months.
- **ELO & Rental Changes**: We're planning on implementing these changes within the next 1-2 months, and we'll keep you updated as we make progress.
- **New Battle Pass & Map**: We're excited to announce that we have new maps in the works, and we may even bring back some favourites from Dragonfest. Stay tuned for more details!

###### TO COME AT A LATER DATE
- **New Questing Mini Game Beta**: The scope and size of the originally planned staking and questing mini game has expanded and therefore this project will need more development time. We are excited to expand our out-of-game experiences and will share details and information on this project in the future when development has progressed further.

#### DRAGONFEST
Next I’d like to take a moment to recap Dragonfest. First off, it's worth acknowledging that this event was a monumental undertaking from the entire team and I would like to personally recognize the team's hard work and dedication. Secondly, this event was an opportunity for us to explore various aspects of Voxies Tactics and the wider Voxies ecosystem. As with any new endeavor, some things were positive, while other aspects require critical assessment. The important thing is that the team is constantly learning and growing as a result.

###### LORE & CINEMATIC TRAILER
The introduction of The Necromancer and the Bone Dragon Boss brought new lore and story elements to Voxie Tactics that were well received by the community and players. The intro cinematic trailer for Dragonfest had the "wow factor" we were aiming for. 

###### WHAT WE LEARNED
Overall, the mechanics of the Bone Dragon Boss map were successful in achieving their goal. However, there are still areas that need additional cheat protection to prevent bad actors from abusing our game. We are continuing to work on this and improve the related tech and services.

We expanded the economy mechanics in Dragonfest, introducing virtual Bone Fragments and Bone Chest conversions, and building on the holiday gift box concept from The Winterverse. However, it became apparent that some players were not pleased with this larger economy and item shake-up. In hindsight, we should have toned down this aspect or focused the reward structure for this event. We appreciate all the feedback we received regarding this economy and item topic.

During the event, the accumulation of player rewards and the leaderboards were hot topics. While we applied many improvements we learned from the Season 0 tournament to fix technical leaderboard issues, we failed to account for the determination and "farming" aspect of certain play styles. This highlighted opportunities that we want to explore prior to the next PvE event like potentially introducing a daily limit or additional safeguards around the cumulative damage leaderboard. Overall, this was a good way for us to gather valuable data that we will use to improve Voxie Tactics before releasing Adventure mode!

######  GAME & MARKETPLACE STATS
Despite the ups and downs, I’m proud to present some of the statistics and figures achieved during the event. It's safe to say that the player base is amazing and dedicated, and events like this are highly participated in.  Special call out that all top 10 players did over 10 million damage to the Bone Dragon on their own, wow!

- **Total Matches Played: 920,000+**
- **Total Unique Players: 1,800**
- **Total Damage Done to The Bone Dragon: 1,516,341,757**
- **Total Bone Fragments Won: 2,836,754.42**
- **Total Bone Chests Awarded: 7,678**
- **Mini Bone Dragon Pets Won: 693**


#### THE BINANCE ACADEMY PARTNERSHIP 
The Marketing team has been working closely with The Binance Academy team on a new Learn & Earn campaign set to launch on **May 25th.**  

Anyone who participates in The Binance Academy Learn and Earn program is awarded VOXEL which will help continue to grow our tokens footprint.  

As part of this project, considerable marketing effort has been put into developing new creative and educational style content around our VOXEL token.  

We will be launching a new article, video and an academy quiz as part of the co-marketing. Binance will amplify across all their marketing channels and we will be doing the same with ours including a revamp of our VOXEL landing page on our website with all the great new content! 

I can’t wait to see this go live!  

#### TEAM UPDATES
Last but certainly not least, I’m pleased to say that we're adding 3 new members to our team this month and here are the roles!

**Senior QA Analyst**

I’ll start things off with the new Senior QA Analyst who has already joined us. This is a crucial role as we continue to work towards providing a more seamless and immersive experience for you. They will lead the testing of our Unity game version by implementing automation and improving our internal processes as we work towards releasing the next phase of Voxie Tactics.

**Senior Frontend Developer**

We’re also expanding the developer team with a new Senior Frontend Developer. They will be joining an already amazing core group and will play a key role in expanding our web offering.  Our new Senior Frontend Developer will lead the charge in building new features for our platform, helping us to deliver on our commitment to provide the best user experience and highest quality frontend solutions. They will also help us speed up the release of features that we have promised to build, ensuring that our platform remains cutting-edge and ahead of the curve. 

**Game Economy Manager**

Finally, a new Game Economy Manager will join us and bring with them extensive experience in designing and delivering games across platforms. With their expertise, we know we can bring our Voxies economy to an even higher level. The Game Economy Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Voxies economy is competitive within the industry. They will also lead the design, maintenance, and development of the reward system, incentives, and progressions in Voxie Tactics and work closely with our development team to ensure that the game's economy is optimized for the best possible user experience.

The time has finally come. The Dragon Race is ascending and taking on a new destiny. 

In a groundbreaking event for Voxie Tactics, all Dragon Race characters are rising up to their true calling and becoming their own Drako Class.  

But wait, there's more… 

In celebration of this momentous event, we proudly present Dragonfest! 

Dragonfest is an event for all things Drako where together we will honor the power and majesty of the Dragon Race and the new Drako Class, bringing forth 2 thrilling new additions to the game:

1. **Bone Dragon Boss PvE Mode**: Embark on an epic adventure with our new Bone Dragon Boss PvE Mode, where you'll face the mightiest dragon of them all.
2. **Bone Fragment Virtual Currency**: This new virtual currency can be collected and then exchanged for Bone Chests that may be opened in The Arcanist’s Forge.  Bone Fragments are awarded based on the damage you do to the Bone Dragon Boss and when exchanged in the Forge grant access to unique Dragonfest items and rewards.

## Enter Dragonfest

###### Lore:
The Voxiverse is in peril, for a great threat has arisen! Roazzul, a fearsome Dragon of legend, has awoken from its slumber and now plans to lay waste to all that we hold dear. But all is not lost, for a community of brave heroes will need to band together to face this challenge head-on. 

###### Gameplay: 
The scenario is simple: Enter the Dragonfest Arena, do as much damage to the Bone Dragon Boss as possible, and then escape with your life! But this is no ordinary challenge.  You will play alone but the Bone Dragon Boss cannot be defeated by you alone. How is this all possible? You will need to fight together as a community, each player contributing their own share of damage to bring down the boss. The more players that play, the more Roazzul’s HP bar is decreased, leading to a final reward that will make it all worthwhile! 

###### Now It’s Your Turn:
So, will you rise to the challenge, become a legend, and claim your share of the loot? Join us on this epic event, and together, we will triumph over Roazzul the Bone Dragon Boss as we celebrate Dragonfest!

## Dragons & Data: What’s Changing?
Are you ready to embark on a new adventure with Voxie Tactics? Exciting changes have been made to the game, including the addition of the new Drako Class, an Undead Class name change, and the highly anticipated Bone Dragon Boss PvE Mode.

#### Introducing the Drako Class
To differentiate Dragons from Zombies and Skeletons, a new class has been created - the Drako Class. Unlike the Undead, Drako Class Voxies are not healed by any element, making them entirely unique and challenging. Additionally, this class boasts a host of new abilities exclusive to Drako Class Voxies.

###### Passive Drako Abilities
Drako Class Voxies are massive creatures, so it makes sense that they wear heavy armor. Additionally, their innate racial ability provides them with 50% resistance to fire elemental damage. This makes them more difficult to defeat, so be sure to come prepared with the right weapons and strategies.  Don’t forget about our latest update to The Arcanist’s Forge - Infusion!   Infusion allows you to add elemental damage effects to your weapons and personalize your play style. With the right preparation, skills, and Infusion recipe choices, you can improve your chances of taking down these massive creatures!

###### Drakonic Fury
The Drako Class has 4 new abilities that are sure to leave a lasting impact on the battlefield. 
1. Fire Bomb costs 40 MP and spreads fire around burning enemies in range. 
2. Inciteful Bellow, at 45 MP, taunts your target and sends them into a rage. 
3. Take Flight, for 50 MP, allows your dragon Voxie to fly high into the air and reach its destination. 
4. Lastly, Mark of the Dragon costs 100 MP and marks the prey for a sure and imminent death. 

These abilities are game-changers and will require careful planning to overcome.

#### Undead Class Name Change
Undead Voxies will now be known as the Undead Class. This change is purely a name change and does not affect their abilities in any way. Undead are still healed by poison, while Zombies and Skeletons retain all existing skills and racial abilities.

## New Bone Dragon Boss PvE Mode
Are you ready to take on the ultimate challenge? The Bone Dragon Boss PvE Battle Mode is a brand new feature in Voxie Tactics that will put your skills to the test. 

The mode consists of 3 new maps for Dragonfest, each with unique decor and terrain obstacles.

##### Summoner's Rise

Your goal is to deal as much damage as possible to the Bone Dragon Boss before falling in battle or attempting to escape.

## How Does the PvE Battle Mode Work?
The Bone Dragon Boss has an unknown amount of HP and cannot be killed in a single battle, so players will need to fight across multiple weeks during the event in order to defeat it. Players who enter a PvE battle against the Bone Dragon Boss, will have the tough challenge of doing a maximum amount of damage in an intense game of survival. Depending on the strategy, they will need to decide if they want to escape with their lives or fight till their last dying breath. 

Successfully escaping the Dragonfest Arena will reward players with Bone Fragments & add their damage score for that encounter to the Total Damage leaderboard. On the flip side, players going for the highest position of the Top Damage leaderboard might consider fighting until the bitter end against the Dragon Boss. By not escaping the Dragon’s lair, they won’t receive Bone Fragments and damage for that battle won’t count towards total damage for the event but this could prove to be an optimal way to achieve the maximum amount of damage and claim the highest honour of the Top Damage leaderboard. 

## Bone Dragon Boss Abilities & Mechanics
The Bone Dragon is an extremely challenging Boss with a mix of abilities - 2 base abilities and a variety of unknown special abilities. 

Magma Breath and Bone Barrage are just a couple of examples of what you will need to be ready to contend with in battle! Magma Breath is a fire attack that damages all enemies and has a chance to burn them, while Bone Barrage is a single-target attack that can cause a doom effect. 

The Bone Dragon will stop at nothing to prevail over its enemies and will leverage a variety of poison, dark and fire based abilities to succeed. Its fiery attacks can quickly overwhelm players, while its necrotic aura can send them on the path to destruction. Thinking of hiding? Think again as the dragon can reach every corner of its lair and will stop at nothing to over power you. But that’s not all, the Bone Dragon is immune to all status effects, making it one of the toughest opponents you will ever face!

**Tips:**
- To enhance your Voxies in the battle against the Bone Dragon, Dragonfest exclusive potions are available in the Lil Flame Chest. These potions are essential to your success and will help you maximize damage when fighting the Bone Dragon.
- Additionally, be on the lookout for the Necrotic Plague, which can leave a lasting poison effect!

## Rise to the Top:  A Guide to Dragonfest Leaderboards
Welcome, players!  You’ve come seeking knowledge on the heroic leaderboards of Dragonfest.  Well you’ve come to the right place, here we have the information you seek. 

Leaderboards are a way for brave community members like yourself to showcase their might and skill in battling the dreaded Bone Dragon. There are three different types of leaderboards that you can participate in: Total Damage, Top Damage in One Battle, and Total Bone Fragments Collected. Let’s take a closer look at each of them.

##### Total Damage Leaderboard
The Total Damage Leaderboard is a way to determine who has dealt the most damage to the Bone Dragon over the course of the entire Dragonfest event. This leaderboard takes into account all of the battles that you have participated in and adds up the total amount of damage that you have dealt to the Bone Dragon.

**Tips:**
- If you want to climb the Total Damage Leaderboard, your best bet is to focus on doing as much damage as possible every time you fight the Bone Dragon.
- Be careful that you don’t stick around too long or get too ambitious, as your damage done to the dragon will not be added to your leaderboard total unless you escape alive!
- Try to spread your characters out, so you don’t get caught by the nasty dragon AOE attacks, and to be sure you can reach the exit when you need to.

##### Top Damage in One Battle Leaderboard
The Top Damage in One Battle Leaderboard is a bit different from the Total Damage Leaderboard. This leaderboard focuses solely on the highest amount of damage that you have dealt in a single battle against the Bone Dragon. It doesn’t matter if you dealt a lot of damage in multiple battles, what matters here is how much damage you can do in a single battle.

**Tips:**
- To climb the Top Damage in One Battle Leaderboard, you need to focus on dealing the most damage you can in a single battle.
- If you perish during the battle, your top damage score will still be recorded in the top damage leaderboard.
- Don’t worry about escaping or getting to the exit, just carry on fighting to the death.
- Bring your most powerful Voxies and go out all guns blazing!

##### Total Bone Fragments Leaderboard
The Total Bone Fragments Leaderboard is a measure of your collecting skills. The Bone Dragon drops Bone Fragments when defeated, and this leaderboard ranks the warriors who have collected the most fragments throughout Dragonfest.

**Tips:**
- If you want to collect the most Bone Fragments and climb the Total Bone Fragments Leaderboard, you should focus on battling the Bone Dragon as often as possible.
- The more you play, the more chances you have to collect Bone Fragments.
- Be careful! If you don’t manage to escape, you don’t get to keep your Bone Fragments.
- It might be worth trying to escape when you know you will be able to make it to the exit, so you don’t lose out on your accumulated Bone Fragments.
- Take part in out-of-game events and activities that will also boost your Bone Fragment counter - Marketplace, Forge, Shop, Competitions, All of these reward Bone Fragments that will go to your total score.

In conclusion, the leaderboards of Dragonfest offer a unique challenge for players looking to prove their mettle. By understanding how the leaderboards work and employing the right strategies, you can climb the ranks and earn valuable rewards. During Dragonfest, players can collect Bone Fragments through various means, such as battling the Bone Dragon Boss, buying and selling on the Voxies Marketplace, buying Merchandise on the Voxies Merch Shop and using The Arcanist’s Forge and Service Page using their VOXEL. 

These Bone Fragments can then be redeemed for valuable rewards in the form of Bone Chests, which can be obtained by converting the Bone Fragments on the Services Page on the Voxies Marketplace. The Bone Chests can then be opened in The Arcanist’s Forge or even traded with fellow players. The rewards available in the Bone Chests vary depending on the type of chest.  Please refer to the helpful conversion chart later in this article for more information. 

##### How To Earn Bone Fragments by Spending VOXEL

In this section, we will explain just how easy it is for you to earn a little something extra when spending your VOXEL!  Special for our Dragonfest event, players will have the opportunity to earn even more Bone Fragments when using some of our most popular services.

That’s right! Spend VOXEL and earn Bone Fragments and do so in 3 different ways:

1. Using The Arcanist’s Forge & Service Page
2. Buying & Selling on the Voxies Marketplace (Excluding Renting)
3. Buying Merchandise on the Voxies Merch Shop (Launching New Dragonfest Merch on Friday April 14th)

###### 1. Using The Arcanist’s Forge & Service Page
When you spend VOXEL using The Arcanist’s Forge or the Service page, you will earn valuable Bone Fragments. 

For every 10 VOXEL you spend, you will receive 1 Bone Fragment with absolutely no limit to how many Bone Fragments you can earn. This promotion applies to all purchases made and the number of Bone Fragments you earn is rounded down. 

For example, if you spend between 10 and 19 VOXEL, you will receive 1 Bone Fragment. If you spend between 20 and 29 VOXEL, you will receive 2 Bone Fragments, and so on.

- 1-9 VOXEL = 0 Bone Fragments
- 10-19 VOXEL = 1 Bone Fragment
- 20-29 VOXEL = 2 Bone Fragments 
- Continues on with no limit

###### 2. Buying & Selling on The Voxies Marketplace

On the Voxies Marketplace, both the Seller and the Buyer can earn Bone Fragments.

When Seller and Buyer spend 50 VOXEL or more combined, both will earn 1 Bone Fragment which will be added to accounts once a week. Same as with the above mentioned Forge and Service page, the number of Bone Fragments earned is also rounded down with no limit. 

For example, if a combined spend is between 1 and 49 VOXEL, no Bone Fragments will be received.  If between 50 and 99 VOXEL is spent, both seller and buyer will earn 1 Bone Fragment each, and if there is a spend between 100 and 149 VOXEL, each will earn 2 Bone Fragments, and so on. 

- 1-49 VOXEL = 0 Bone Fragments
- 50-99 = 1 Bone Fragment each
- 100-149 = 2 Bone Fragments each
- Continues on with no limit

###### 3. Buying Merchandise on the Voxies Merch Shop

The Voxies Merch Shop also offers an opportunity to earn Bone Fragments.

For every 10 VOXEL you spend on Merch including shipping, you will receive 1 Bone Fragment which will be added to accounts at the end of each week. Yes! VOXEL used for shipping costs are included in this promotion! And the number of Bone Fragments earned using the Merch Shop is also rounded down with no limit. 

- 1-9 VOXEL = 0 Bone Fragments
- 10-19 VOXEL = 1 Bone Fragment
- 20-29 VOXEL = 2 Bone Fragments 
- Continues on with no limit

**It is essential to note a few more items.**
- Bone Fragments cannot be divided, meaning you cannot earn 0.5 Bone Fragments. 
- Additionally, the wallet needs to be linked to a Voxie Tactics account at the time of the transaction to earn. Wallets that are not linked to a Voxie Tactics account will not receive rewards and cannot retroactively collect Bone Fragments. 
- Bone Fragments earned while using the Arcanist's Forge or the Service Page will be applied to your account instantly and available to purchase Bone Chests.
- Finally, Bone Fragments earned from buying and selling on the Voxies Marketplace and buying Merchandise from the Voxies Merch Shop will be processed weekly. At the end of each week, which is Sunday at 11:59 pm EST, the total amount of VOXEL spent during the week will be calculated and the appropriate number of Bone Fragments added to the players' account by the following Wednesday.

Voxie Tactics is the revolutionary game that lets you explore the Voxiverse and earn items, armor and weapons to build your ultimate Voxies collection. And now, the latest update to the Arcanist’s Forge is here, giving players even more customization options to make their Voxies experience truly unique.

#### Introducing Infusion: The Ability to Customize Your Items 

With this new update, players can now infuse base items and re-infuse other elemental items to add elemental damage effects to their weapons and personalize their play styles. 

The process is simple: put the required items into the "Infusion" recipe in the Arcanist’s Forge, including the base item, the required elemental essences, crystal, and VOXEL, and voila! You will receive a new infused item, with its rarity upgraded to the next tier. If you have an infused item that no longer works for you,  no problem! You can easily re-infuse that item by combining it with a new elemental essence along with a new crystal. And that’s it, you will get a new item with the same rarity but now with your desired element. 


#### Unlock the Full Potential of Your Items

The possibilities are plenty with the new Forge update. Over 500 items can be infused and/or re-infused, giving the player ultimate control over their team’s meta. Want to add fire protection to your helmet to outwit your enemies? No problem! Want to upgrade your crossbow with a water effect to drown your foes? Easy! The result of the infusion process is determined by the input base item, and players will know exactly what they will receive. With the option to re-infuse, players can also experiment with different elements by repurposing infused items to find the perfect fit for their playstyle.


#### New Infusion Recipe

The cost of infusion and re-infusion in VOXEL varies based on the input and output items.  Infusions are more expensive because the output items' rarity will be upgraded to a higher tier.  For example if you infuse a rare sword with a fire element you will receive an epic sword of the flame. On the flipside, if you decide to re-infuse an item the outputted item's rarity will remain the same and is therefore cheaper. 

- **Infusion**
	- Rare = 100 VOXEL
	- Epic = 500 VOXEL
- **Re-infusion**
	- Rare = 10 VOXEL
	- Epic = 50 VOXEL
	- Legendary = 250 VOXEL

It's that time again where I get to share with you all the latest updates on what's been happening at AlwaysGeeky Games. In my previous letter, I mentioned that we have exciting development on the horizon and I’m thrilled to finally share more information about the future of Voxie Tactics. But before I do, let's dive into some awesome updates about Dragonfest, VOXEL and our new partnership with Hyperplay!

#### DRAGONFEST
Dragonfest is upon us! We know how excited you all are for this event, and we're happy to announce that we've finalized the dates. Mark your calendars because Dragonfest will run from **April 3rd to May 1st**! During this time, you'll be able to participate in a Community PVE raid boss event, collect bone fragments, earn bone chests, even score some Dragonfest rewards and use the brand new Drako class for the first time. We've also got some exciting Voxies Marketplace events lined up for you. 

###### How are we marketing Dragonfest?

We've got marketing being designed with the intent of getting you all ready to unleash your inner Dragon! 

Our team is fired up and ready to bring you an unforgettable visual experience. We've got some exciting marketing tactics planned to make sure everyone knows about our new Dragonfest event. Moving on to our VOXEL token update - it's been an amazing start to the year for us! We've made some great progress, including adding utilities, extending official partnerships, and even getting listed on Coinbase. We've also got some exciting partnerships lined up with QuickSwap rewards and token farming, as well as Binance Learn & Stake. Keep an eye out for further updates on this front! 

Finally, the Official merchandise store launch was a huge success and many community members are now receiving their Voxies merchandise! Keep sharing all the amazing photos of the Voxies merch in the real world and enjoy this latest VOXEL token utility!

#### Hyperplay
We are also excited to be one of the launch partners for HyperPlay! If you haven’t seen the news over the last few days, HyperPlay is a Web3 game launcher and gaming aggregator. They allow the player to easily download and update their games with seamless wallet integration and is available on a wide variety of platforms.

This is the beginning of a great partnership that will help make Web3 gaming more accessible to players all around the world. #### Voxie Tactics
Alright, this is a big one for us! I’m thrilled to announce that we're working on a brand new version of Voxie Tactics that will use the **Unity Game Engine**. After launching Voxie Tactics over a year ago, we quickly realized that we had a huge opportunity to better support the next generation of Web3 gamers. To achieve our vision, it became clear that leveraging a modern game engine like Unity was critical to the future success of Voxie Tactics.

For the past 8 months, we have been hard at work on rebuilding Voxie Tactics from the ground up to leverage everything that Unity has to offer. Once this new version of Voxie Tactics is released later this year, you can expect major improvements in all key areas including better graphics, better performance, faster development time and additional platform support over a short period of time.

Here’s an overview of major advantages Unity offers:

- Support for mobile platforms - iOS & Android
- Integrations with popular gaming platforms

###### What is a MetaMask Wallet?
MetaMask is a browser extension and cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to interact with the Ethereum blockchain. It allows users to store and manage their Ethereum and other Ethereum-based tokens such as VOXEL, as well as interact with decentralized applications (DApps) on the Ethereum network. MetaMask includes a secure identity vault, providing a user interface to manage your identities on different sites and sign blockchain transactions.

###### I don’t want to use a Metamask wallet, can I process transactions in another way?
Yes you can!  

If you do not wish to use and connect a MetaMask wallet for payment, you can still pay for your items by manually transferring the funds to the wallet indicated during checkout.  When applying this order payment method please double check wallet address and amount before sending. 

Double checking all addresses, wallets, blockchains and currencies before transmitting funds is very important if you choose the manual payment method.  We are not responsible for funds sent to the wrong wallet, blockchains or a different address that the one provided during checkout. 

###### I do not have a MetaMask wallet, how can I set it up?
To set up a MetaMask wallet, follow these steps:

1. Go to the MetaMask website (https://metamask.io/) and click on the "Get MetaMask" button.

3. Once the extension is installed, click on the MetaMask icon in your browser to open it.

6. MetaMask will generate a seed phrase for you, which is a unique set of words that you can use to restore your wallet if you ever lose access to it. Write down this seed phrase and store it in a safe place.
7. Click on the "All Done" button to finish the setup process.

That's it! You can now use your MetaMask wallet to store, manage, and interact with Ethereum and other Ethereum-based assets.

###### What is the VOXEL token?
VOXEL is a token (ERC20) on Polygon, a decentralized Ethereum scaling platform. It is the default currency used in the Voxies and Voxie Tactics ecosystem.

###### I do not have VOXEL, can I pay with other currencies?
Voxies and Voxie Tactics merch can only be purchased using VOXEL. You can easily purchase VOXEL using your local currency in the “Get VOXEL” section or from a variety of Cryptocurrency Exchanges.

**To note:** USD Prices are included as a reference only. You will notice a small variation (around 1%) between VOXEL market price and the USD price to account for market fluctuations.

###### How long does it take to receive my order?
Orders are typically shipped within 3 days of placing your orders but can vary depending on different factors (ie high demand, back order item, etc). The time for your order to be delivered will vary depending on your location. Tracking information will be provided by email and include an estimated delivery time.

I’m delighted to take this opportunity in part 2 of my letter to announce some exciting new launches that the team is working really hard on! The amount of VOXEL tokens that each player will receive will be based on your games played during the period of instability, so therefore the players that played the most and were affected the most by the decreased VOXEL rewards will be compensated more than those who played less. #### DRAGONFEST!

We are delighted to announce a brand new upcoming class change and event celebration in the Voxiverse called Dragonfest. Dragonfest is set up to be a key moment in the Voxies Calendar to be celebrated by all the citizens of the Voxiverse! You can expect lots of fun, celebration and cool Dragon related activities all throughout Dragonfest.

Here is a rundown of everything you can expect:

###### Dragon Races and Classes 
There will be a pivotal change to a very fearsome race in the Voxies universe - the Dragon Race! For too long Dragons have been classified as Monsters, and during Dragonfest this is being rectified. Dragons will be transforming into their newly evolved Drako class! This means they will no longer share a class with the Zombie and Skeleton races and will be getting a whole new bunch of gameplay enhancements, such as the Dragon racial abilities (Innate resistance to Fire Element), as well as all new Drako specific abilities.

*Please Note: This class change will be applied both in game and on the NFT meta-data.*

###### Bone Fragments and Bone Chests
During Dragonfest there will also be a brand new commodity that players can collect and will be a special currency that is utilized during the festivities. Bone Fragments will be collected by a number of in-game and out of game activities and can be used to trade for Bone Chests, which will contain unique and special Dragon themed items.

Some examples of ways that players can collect bone fragments are:
- Competing in Voxie Tactics Battles
- Playing the Bone Dragon Boss PVE battle
- Utilizing the official Voxies Marketplace by buying and selling items with VOXEL tokens
- Taking part in Dragonfest community events
- Plus much more....

Once the Bone Fragments are joined together to create Bone Chests, players will find useful artifacts and treasures within that will be unique to the Dragonfest event.  These might just come in handy to fight against fire and brimstone and also look out for any cute lil fiery pets that like to make an appearance during these Dragon celebrations.


###### Bone Dragon Boss PVE Experience (Community Quest)
We will be introducing a new single player experience to Voxie Tactics that will allow adventurers to take on the fearsome Bone Dragon! 3 Voxies enter the Bone Dragon Lair, how many will escape with their lives, and how many will be turned into voxel ash?
This will be a single player PVE experience that also functions as a community event that ALL players need to collectively work towards to achieve the goal of taking down the Bone Dragon Boss. 

During Dragonfest players will be able to test their might against the Bone Dragon Boss to compete for their place on special leaderboards and also collect Bone Fragments to use during the event. Once the Bone Dragon Boss has been vanquished this will unlock a special treat for the whole community and result in a collective celebration and reward.

###### Community and Events
Dragonfest will be a celebration of all things Dragon! Think art, competitions and memes! Get ready for some fiery fun, marshmallows not included so bring your own!
 

###### Undead Changes
To coincide with the Dragon class change, we will also be upgrading all Undead races in the Voxiverse to be specified as an "Undead Class". This change will affect Zombies and Skeletons and classify them as Undead (instead of the legacy Monster class).

Already the Undead races have different mechanics in the game from the other monsters, like Dragons, for example interacting differently with Poison and Holy elements, and also having different Undead racial abilities. The Undead will also have major synergy and combo potentials with certain other mechanics in the game, such as the Unholy Necromancer class. Things are certainly looking… lively… for the future of the Undead residents of Voxie Tactics!

Just like the Drako class, this change will be applied both in game and on the NFT meta-data.

#### Infusion (In the Arcanist's Forge)
We will be expanding the Arcanist's Forge to add more functionality that will go hand in hand with the new crystal and elemental essence drops in the game; this is called Infusion in the Forge.

Infusion will allow players to fine tune their weapons and armor selections for battle and allow players to infuse an element to applicable items in the Arcanist’s Forge. This adds a powerful and exciting new dynamic to the Arcanist’s Forge and gives the players more control over their digital assets and their usage both inside and outside Voxie Tactics. Players will be able to collect crystals and elemental essences in preparation for this new Infusion feature and start planning in advance of this release.

#### Wrapping Up

Now this is just the start of many launches and celebrations we have in store for the community calendar this year! #### Winners Circle
Here we announce exactly what VOXEL and NFT rewards winning players will be getting and when.  As you may recall, there was 2 million VOXEL up for grabs!  1.5 million for Extreme and 500,000 for Draft.

Season 0: Wrap-up

Hey Everyone,

Congratulations to all players and especially the winners during the first official seasonal tournament for Voxie Tactics! This is a great moment of celebration and we hope everyone will enjoy their seasonal rewards.  Like any tournament environment we experienced ups and downs. As a team, we certainly learned a lot from the in game data and invaluable feedback coming from all of you, the players. Thank you, this will help us improve.  

I would like everyone to know that we did an extensive review and checking of the leaderboards and data after the Season 0 close. We have taken these additional weeks so that we can go through all the finer details and validate all of the aspects that players were discussing during the season.

We have discussed and talked to the community extensively during the end of Season 0 and during this time acknowledge it was an imperfect system.  Hopefully after reading further you will see that we have committed to making huge improvements for Season 1 and beyond. 

In general, we are super happy with the engagement and with the players that took part in the first official Voxie Tactics season tournament. We feel that all players are being fairly rewarded for their participation. 

So with that being said, here are key improvements we’re going to make ahead of the next battle!


#### KEY IMPROVEMENTS

###### Sharing Assets and Recycling Voxies and Items

One key item that came up extensively during Season 0 was sharing assets and recycling Voxies and items. As we looked over the full data for the entire season, we have done our absolute best to capture the worst offenders and review them. As a result, we have had to make tournament adjustments and disqualifications. 

I'd also like to point out that since the main issue of sharing assets came up during the last few weeks of the season, and feedback has been very polarized, we also factored this into our decision making. 

One of our main criteria for this review was to make sure we didn't penalize players that might have unknowingly acted in a way that later became more obvious as gaming the system.  We considered that at the time, reasonable and fair players didn't see any problem in their initial actions. We also have had some players come out towards the end of the season and publicly declare that they would forgo their rewards, since they unknowingly had transferred assets and acted in a way that might have harmed the leaderboards.  Regardless of these statements we still applied the same reviews and data analysis on everyone equally.

Going into Season 1, we will have a proper plan in place to prevent this from happening and thus improving upon our goal of competitive and fair game play.

###### Leaderboard
One of the other key areas we’re excited to improve is the leaderboard. We’re designing a better experience that will allow the competitive nature of the game to thrive without compromise to the fair gameplay systems we’ve designed. 

Here is a list of improvements that we will be building into the next version of the leaderboard:
- Elo Decay.
- Elo changes to wins/loses and score increase.
- Bug fixes for when players win/lose, battle aborted and lose points. 

###### Rental Systems and Digital Assets

We would love to thank each and everyone that has used and taken part in the Rental system since we launched it in October 2022. The Rental system has been an overwhelming success and allowed all Voxie owners and players to experience the joy and excitement of this aspect of digital ownership. 

While the Rental system was not without hiccups, especially during the Season 0 tournament, it was a great addition to the Voxiverse and its economy. We’ve listened to all player feedback which helped complete our overall analysis and concluded that the Rental system needs improvements. There are a number of ways that the current Rental system doesn't foster competitive gameplay while ensuring a fair Voxie Tactics experience for all players. For this reason, we will be implementing a number of changes that will help reduce abuse during a seasonal tournament.

Here’s a list of improvements we are going to make: 
- Increase the minimum rental period to prevent abuse.
- Introduce seasonal cooldowns to prevent unfair advantage across a smaller number of players while ensuring owners ability to continue using the Rental platform to its maximum potential.  

I know all of you will have questions regarding these concepts. We are currently working on finding the right balance for these improvements and will share the technical details and limitations as they become available. 


###### Rules and Regulations

Building on improvements to the leaderboard, Rental systems and digital assets, we're introducing much clearer and explicit Rules and Regulations regarding digital assets and ownership rights, to be enforced during a seasonal tournament. A good example around this topic is instances when a single owner allowed their assets to be used by multiple players (either through rental or traditional scholarships) resulting in them being able to occupy multiple high ranking positions on the leaderboard. We’re aware that when this occurs, it causes harm to other players who could not compete against certain assets that were being used by multiple players. This type of action will be banned during a tournament and any players that are partaking in this action will be removed from the leaderboard during a season.

There will be other enhancements made to Rules and Regulations to provide clarity to players ahead of Season 1. 

###### Game and Balance Updates
- Bug Fixes.
- Time Mages Balance and Haste/Stop/Slow Updates.
- All Racial Abilities.
- Godly Abilities.
- All Weapon Abilities.


###### Extreme Pass, Diamond Pass and Diamond Goat Pet Utility   

With the end of Season 0 and the coming improvements planned ahead of Season 1, we will be transitioning away from the Extreme pass.  Once we remove the Extreme passes, we will convert all Virtual Diamond Goat Pet that came with the Diamond Extreme Pass into an NFT that will be fully owned by the wallet holder. This will allow the owner to trade/transfer/sell/rent their Diamond Goat pet just like any other Voxie Tactics digital NFT assets.

We will also expand pass functionality and I’ll be coming back with details on an extended version of a purchasable pass that will offer improved utility and features inside Voxie Tactics and also extend outside of the game - stay tuned for more details on this!


#### Wrapping Up

As Season 0 has now ended, we have been focusing on the future, diving straight into the new year full speed ahead with improvement projects. We have many exciting developments on the horizon for AlwaysGeeky Games and Voxies. To see what we have coming next, look out for a second letter coming from me on Tuesday January 24th where I will be sharing a few exciting new development projects. 2023 is going to be a great year for the Voxies Community!

In Voxie Tactics: Season 0, players from across the world will compete in our first 10-week-long competition to see who is the greatest Voxie Tactics player of them all! Winners will take home their share of 2M VOXEL between 2 Arenas. 

Season 0 will feature players from the Philippines to Brazil, from France to the UK, from the USA to Canada and beyond. With competitors joining in from around the globe, people will be playing not only for themselves but also as a display of their national pride. 

Voxie Tactics is a free-to-play tactical RPG inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy Tactics. In the game, two players enter the arena with 3 Voxie characters each and a variety of weapons they have collected during their time in the game. These 6 Voxies battle it out to win the match and rise even higher on the competitive leaderboard. 

While winning a match increases a player’s ELO score (which determines a player's overall ranking), they also have the chance to win rewards such as VOXEL tokens that can be used in-game on NFT weapons, armour, and Voxies!  VOXEL tokens can also be converted to a local currency or sold on the secondary market. 

The 10-week rankings in Season 0 will reward the top 26% of players in addition to the individual battle rewards players will continue to receive for winning each battle.

###### Can I compete in both Arenas?
Absolutely! You can compete and potentially win prizes in both the Draft and Extreme Arena.

###### Do I need a Voxie NFT to compete for Season 0?
No! Every player can enter the Draft arena without owning Voxie NFTs. Additionally, 2 extreme passes are available for players to enter the Extreme Arena. You will find additional information on the Extreme Passes in the “Competing in the Extreme Arena” section of this article.

###### How much is an Extreme Pass?

###### Can I share my extreme pass with a friend?
No, the extreme pass is exclusive to 1 player account.

###### Does my Extreme Pass expire?
Yes and the good news is that the Extreme pass will be valid for the entire length of Season 0 and allow you to compete for the top prizes!

###### Do I need to participate across the entire 10 weeks?
No this is flexible. In fact, you can start, pause and start again at any time during the 10 weeks.  For example, if you start week 1 and pause week 2 and start again in week 4, that’s ok.  Please keep in mind that it may make it challenging to keep up with the rest of the players so don't wait too long!

#### What is Renting?

Renting represents a leap forward in on-chain asset control, distribution, and gameplay for web3. It allows players to try out new items or new Voxie characters to uncover the best strategies for their playstyle with more flexibility and at a much lower cost than purchasing. 

It’s very similar to renting an item IRL! Owners and players can now rent an existing Voxie NFT for a fee!

#### Why Launch Renting Now?

We’ve had lots of exciting things happening lately, including the Voxies NFTs transition to Polygon and the introduction to the Arcanist’s Forge where players can upgrade items.

Launching Renting is another key step!

We’re building this all together as we aspire to give our players the best opportunity to have enjoyable and unique experiences for outstanding game play.

#### How Does Renting Work? 

For the rentee, renting gives the ability to experiment by trying out a much larger variety of classes, races, pets, weapons and armors to find the best strategy for their play style. Want to try out a Godly Dread Knight Voxie with all Ash Armor Legendary gear for a week?  This is now possible with the ability to rent those assets from other players.

For the renter, wouldn’t it be great if you could earn a little bit of extra VOXEL while you were on vacation or working? What if you just got a great new sword after a battle victory but you couldn’t use it with your existing party?  Previously those items would go unused until you were ready to play with them or sell them.  However now it is possible to rent your unused assets so other players can enjoy them when you don’t want to and generate value from the assets you have earned.

Renting enables players to generate value from their unused NFTs without selling them. Because AlwaysGeekyGames wants to provide the utmost in value and security to our community, the feature also creates a safe and structured environment for players and owners to rent Voxies NFTs and Voxie Tactics items.

##### 5 Criteria Owners Can Set Before Renting 

We have provided 5 criteria for renters to select from before initiating the rental process.

   - Plan the duration of the Rental agreement (up to 30 days)

   - Set a flat VOXEL rental fee. 

   - Set a % of VOXEL game rewards* to be received by owner and player (up to a max of 100% combined for all rentals). 

   - Decide who receives the NFT rewards during the rental — the owner or the player.

   - (Optional) Reserve to a specific wallet address


*&ast;Seasonal VOXEL rewards are not included*

#### How Does the Rewards Distribution Work? 

Just like buying and selling on the Voxies Marketplace, players will continue to benefit from the low royalty fee of only 4% when it comes to Renting!  This means that owners and players will receive 96% of the VOXEL that is set in the rental agreement.  

**For example**, if an owner sets a flat rental fee of 100 VOXEL, opts to receive 50% of the rewards and decides to not receive NFT rewards from the player, the breakdown will be as follows: 

   **Flat VOXEL Rental Fee**
   - Player pays 100 VOXEL
   - Owner receives 96 VOXEL
   - AlwaysGeeky Games receives 4 VOXEL


   **% of VOXEL Game Rewards** (if player earns 100 VOXEL during the course of the rental) 
   - Player receives 48 VOXEL
   - Owner receives 48 VOXEL
   - AlwaysGeeky Games receives 4 VOXEL

   **NFT Rewards**
   - Player **receives all** NFT rewards
   - Owner **does not receive** NFT rewards
   - AlwaysGeeky Games **never receives** NFT rewards

#### How does it looks on the Marketplace? 
If you are familiar with buying and selling on the Voxie Marketplace, you will feel right at home! The owner will now have the ability to select "Rent" as the bundle type. From there, the form will now ask for all of the details of the rental agreement. Here is what it looks like from the owner's account page:

#### Frequently Asked Questions

###### What if I want to rent my NFT to a friend?
Good news! You will have the ability to reserve and NFT for rent to a specific wallet address. Other players will also have the ability to make offers should you change your mind and decide to rent to somebody else.  

###### If I rent a Voxie, can I play in the Extreme Arena?
Absolutely! To play in the extreme arena you either need to have an Extreme Pass or at least 1 Voxies NFT in your Party Roster which includes both rented and owned Voxies NFTs. 

To note: Extreme passes are also available to Voxie Owners or Borrowers. They include some great perks that will help you rise to the top of the leaderboard including potions and an exclusive Goat pet! ###### How are seasonal rewards shared between owners and players?
When renting NFTs, 100% of the seasonal rewards remain with the player. For larger teams (ie guilds) we are working on a new feature that will allow sharing of the seasonal rewards between members & also simplify asset management. We will announce additional details at a later date.


###### What happens if the % of VOXEL Game Rewards goes over 100%? 
As a player, you cannot agree to rentals if the share % of your rental goes over 100%. This means that you would not be able to rent NFTs if the owner is asking for more than you can agree to. The good news is that you have the ability to make an offer to the Owner for a lower % in the hopes that the owner will accept or even sweeten the deal by including a flat VOXEL fee in your offer.

###### How does the NFT distribution work between the owner and the borrower?
The person receiving the NFT is defined in the rental agreement. This is set by the Owner when they list a Voxie or Voxie Tactics item for rent. From the rental details page, you will clearly see who will receive the NFT reward.

###### As the player, can I agree to multiple rental agreement where the NFT rewards go to the owners?
No, NFT rewards are "all or nothing"... This means that if you take on a rental where the NFT rewards go to the Owner, you will not be able to take on a second rental that also request the NFT rewards. Once your initial rental is expired (or cancelled by you), you will be able to get a rental where NFT rewards go to the owner.

###### What happens when the rental period is over? 
Immediately after the rental period is over, the player loses access to the NFT(s) that were rented. From that point, the owner will be able to claim their NFT from the Voxies Marketplace.


###### As a player, are my rewards still subject to the rental agreement if I’m not using the rented assets in game?
Yes! To ensure that the rental agreement is fair for both parties, the reward sharing will apply regardless if you use the rented NFTs or not. 

**To note:** The Voxies NFT bonus increase only applies if the Voxie is brought to the battlefield.


###### Can I cancel a rental agreement?
**For the player:** Absolutely! Players can cancel the rental agreement at any point. This will immediately cancel the Reward sharing but any flat VOXEL rental fee will be forfeited.

**For the owner:** Yes but only if the flat VOXEL rental fee was set to 0 VOXEL. If the player had to pay a flat VOXEL rental fee, the rental agreement can only be canceled by the player (see above)


###### How is AlwaysGeeky Games keeping my NFTs safe during the rental period?
During the rental period, your NFTs will be help in a smart contract. This means that the player renting your NFTs will not have direct access to your NFT. You, as the owner, will be the only person that can claim the NFTs once the rental period is over or canceled.

Voxie Tactics Launches New Renting Feature

Next up in our Voxie Tactics article series, let’s explore The Arcanist’s Forge, a new function that allows players to upgrade items within the Voxies Marketplace. 

Anyone who has played Voxie Tactics for a while, has likely accumulated a lot of really cool items. The good news is that players can now bring them to the Marketplace and upgrade them in The Arcanist’s Forge.

#### How does it work? 
The process is very simple, players will be able to select up to 10 NFTs and pay the Arcanist to Forge a new item. Within the Marketplace, the player will be prompted to select between two types of actions:

##### **Recipes**: A specific action

When choosing the Recipe option, there is a strict criteria for the type of items that must be used to create new items in the Arcanist’s Forge. The Recipe will burn the NFT items submitted and turn them into a new item.

This new item will be dictated by the criteria of the Recipe. For example: Burn 10 epic NFT items to create a Random legendary item.

##### **Random**: An algorithm-based action

This action allows the player to select up to 10 items to be submitted to the Arcanist. The submitted NFT items will be burned and turned into a new item. The new item created will be luck-based, with the final result based on which items were initially submitted. 
For example: In the screenshot below, you will see that selecting 10 rare items will give you the following chances:

###### Discovering New Recipes

Coming in the near future the Random option will allow players to discover new Recipes. If the items being submitted to the Arcanist matches a Recipe that is not known by the player, it will reveal the new Recipe and produce its corresponding item. If a Recipe is known by the player, the game will notify them that a Recipe exists but still allow them to opt to proceed with creating an algorithm-based Random item.

#### Which items can I submit?

As a general rule, all Voxie Tactics NFT items can be submitted to The Arcanist’s Forge. That said, there are a few exceptions, here is the list of items that cannot be submitted:

- Voxies NFTs
- Items included with Voxies NFTs
- Pets (ie Giraffe)
- Godly items (except Blueprints*)
- Quest rewards (ie Lion Heart’s pendant)

#### What can I Forge?

The items included in both the Recipe or the Random options will come from a wide variety of categories. This will include weapons, armors, consumables as well as new categories exclusive to the Forge: Crystals, Godly blueprints and Movement boots.

The item that will be Forged will depend on a few different factors including the action (Recipe or Random), rarity of the items and type of items. To keep things simple, we are not going into the specifics of the chances (%) in this article. The good news is, we’ve designed the Forge to allow players to explore different combinations and see the potential outcome based on their selection. This means that before items are submitted to the Arcanist, the chances (%) will be displayed and they will dynamically update as players change their selection to be Forged.

###### What are Crystals?

New NFT items will be introduced called Crystals, in 3 different rarities: Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Crystals can exclusively be used in the Forge in place of an NFT of a certain rarity unless the Recipe calls for a specific item. This means that an Epic crystal can replace an epic item in the Forge but would not replace an Epic Sword when specified. 

###### What are Godly Blueprints?

The Godly Blueprint is an unrevealed* NFT that will be used to create a Godly Item once revealed. When the Godly Blueprint is revealed, players will be able to pay the Arcanist to Forge a Godly item using a legendary item of the same type and the Godly Blueprint (see graphic below). There are a very limited number of Godly Blueprints that will be available and each will yield a unique Godly Item. 

Both actions, Random or Recipe, will have a chance to produce a Godly Blueprint. The chances to produce a Godly blueprint will be influenced by the rarity of the items used. The rarer the items, the higher the chance of receiving a Godly Blueprint!

**What’s the difference between unrevealed and unidentified NFTs?**

Unrevealed NFTs do not require any action from the player in order to reveal them. These Unrevealed NFTs will always be tied to a special event that will be held a few times every year. Stay tuned as you won't have to wait too long because the first reveal will be hosted during the holiday season! 

These are not to be confused with Unidentified NFTs that require players to take action in order to identify/reveal them. You can check out Article 2 of our Earnings and Rewards Series here to learn more about Unidentified NFTs. Please note the Forge will not yield Unidentified NFTs and therefore, unidentified NFTs will never be Godly Blueprint, Movement boots or Crystals.

#### What happens after my selection?

When the player is ready to proceed, they can click on the **Forge** button in the top menu bar to start the forging process. This will open a confirmation window that allows the player to review the final details before proceeding.

Once the player confirms their selection and signs the transaction, the VOXEL and NFTs will be submitted to the Forge and a newly Forged NFTs will be minted to the players wallet*. When the transaction is confirmed, players will also be able to view the item by clicking on the **New Item** button in the top menu bar.

We’re excited to announce the Voxies NFTs transition from Ethereum to the Polygon Blockchain later this month. 

With the transition, Voxies NFTs will make their debut on the Voxies Marketplace allowing players to purchase, sell, rent and trade using VOXEL tokens with no gas fees! Holders gain the advantage of Polygon’s layer 2 low gas fees when trading on any platform they choose.

Having both the Voxies NFTs and Voxie Tactics Item NFTs on Polygon will provide a unified user experience and enable the creation of even more exciting ways to interact with your Voxies NFTs in the future. 

#### How Will the Move to Polygon Play Out for Players? 

The good news is that there are no required actions for Voxies NFT holders. To ensure a smooth transition for everyone, AlwaysGeeky Games encourages NFT holders to pause any blockchain transactions during the 48-hour transition period and take down any listing on NFT marketplaces. 

Leading up to and during the transition, we will communicate the schedule (see below) & progress updates. Once we kick off, we’ll update metadata on Ethereum, take a snapshot of all wallet addresses, and then Airdrop Polygon Voxies NFTs to the owners’ wallets.

###### Why are you doing this?
Transitioning the Voxies NFT collection to Polygon has multiple benefits including lower gas fees, a unified experience and additional features in the Voxies Ecosystem. You can read more about the benefits in the first section of this article.

###### Will I be able to play Voxie Tactics during the transition?

Absolutely, the transition will be seamless to players. This will not affect the Voxie Tactics online services or the Voxies Marketplace. Once the transition is complete, we will host a 2-hour maintenance period to test the new Polygon Voxies NFTs in-game (see schedule).

Please note: Voxies NFT holders should pause any blockchain transactions during the 48-hour transition period. AlwaysGeeky Games also recommends taking down any listing on NFT marketplaces.

###### Will I be able to use my Ethereum Voxies NFTs?
Ethereum Voxies NFT will remain available in-game until the transition is fully complete. This means that you will be able to continue playing with your Voxies NFTs in Voxie Tactics during the transition. Once completed, the Ethereum collection will no longer be usable in Voxie Tactics. 

###### What will happen to the Ethereum collection?
The ethereum collection will be updated with new metadata and a fun new image to communicate the Polygon transition across all the different platforms where Voxies NFTs are available.

###### Does this affect the Voxie Tactics Item NFTs?
No, the Voxie Tactics Item NFTs are already on the Polygon blockchain and are not affected by this transition.

Voxie Tactics is an insanely addictive and deeply strategic turn-based tactics game that can be enhanced through playing with your owned Voxies from the NFT project. In the very first article of the Voxie Tactics Rewards and Earning Series, we explored the base earning rate in Voxie Tactics and how it can be impacted by the Voxies NFTs you bring into battle. 

As a starting point, we looked at the probability chances of earning a specified reward in Voxie Tactics. # Item Drop Rate 

Next up, let’s dive into item drop rates. What's the item drop rate you ask? Simply put, when you win a match of Voxie Tactics you will Roll once (#1) to see if you receive an item. If you receive an item, then you will Roll again (#2) to determine which Rarity item you will ultimately receive (See graphic below).

**Note**: The chance of receiving an item is increased by Voxie rarity (1st roll) but the rarity of the item you receive is not affected (2nd roll). As covered in the first article, parties with a Voxie NFT earn higher bonus percentages depending on rarity tier, but the item rarity drop rate percentage is the same regardless of the cumulative rarity of the team.

# Virtual Versus NFT 

One of the most unique things about Voxie Tactics is the ability to utilize a combination of virtual items and NFTs within the game. This offers players complete asset ownership and flexibility in their management of these assets. Here is the difference between those types of items:

# Unidentified Items

When earning items, a small percentage of them will be unidentified. These items cannot yet be used in the game. Unidentified Rare, Epic and Legendary NFTs can be resold as unidentified items.

Unidentified items can be identified by leveraging the special ability of specific Voxie NFTs or by purchasing an identification service from the marketplace.

# What Can I Do With My Items? 

Onto the next bit of fun! Once a player has earned, purchased, or borrowed an item, what can they do with it? It all depends on the item, but a few options are:



* Use the items during in-game battles as weapons and armor with unique characteristics, increase your RNG with special accessories or even as consumable potions.  This becomes important as players will want to take advantage of specific vulnerabilities of their opponents.
* Upgrade rewarded items and equipment to potentially receive a more rare item or enhanced stats in the future.  
* Ingredients for recipes! For example, the correct combination of specific items can be combined together in our new game feature being released to create certain new enhanced items or improve their rarity tier and stats.


## What Are Consumables? 

Consumables are in-game, one-time use items that can be used to assist players in battle. The effects of various consumable potions include replenishing HP; MP; removing negative status effects; reviving a fallen Voxie; or increasing strength, intelligence, movement speed, or dexterity stats, amongst other capabilities.

Each Voxie is allowed to use 1 consumable per game on their target of choice, so long as the item is in the player’s account prior to the start of battle. This means that up to 3 consumables can be used to heal/buff the same Voxie but a single Voxie cannot use multiple consumables.  \

Tip: Take down Voxies that have not used a consumable to limit the number of consumables your opponent can use.

## What are special accessories?

Special accessories are items that are included with a select number of Voxies NFTs. Similarly to bringing Voxies NFTs into battle, having these items equipped to your Voxies during a battle will increase your chance of earning Voxie Tactics items and/or a bonus VOXEL reward after winning a battle.  \

Just like bringing multiple Voxies NFTs into battle, the percentage increase is cumulative. This means that bringing multiple special accessories and/or Voxies NFTs into battle will further increase your chances of earning. We are creating this series of articles to help our fellow players make more informed decisions ahead of rolling out VOXEL earning in our ecosystem.


Our reward ecosystem takes a multifaceted earning approach where various reward multipliers are combined to create your total earn rate. These factors include your PVP ranking tier, the Voxies NFT’s rarity, the type of Voxie NFTs, and a few unique items or companions that can increase your earning rate. We will cover all of these and more in this series!


#### **Part 1 - Introduction to Voxie Tactics Rewards**

In this first article, we will explore the base earning rate in Voxie Tactics and how it’s impacted by the Voxies NFTs you bring into battle. We will be contrasting a team of Voxie Recruits (Free to Play characters) to a team of Voxies NFTs both for an unranked player with no special items or any other additional bonus that could apply.


As a starting point, let’s look at the chance of earning a reward in Voxie Tactics. After each match, the winning player gets 4 chances of earning a reward with 5% probability each. This is composed of one chance of earning a bonus VOXEL reward and three additional chances of earning a Voxie Tactics item.


Here’s a breakdown of your chances of earning a Reward when winning a battle:

Next, let’s look at the Voxies NFT reward bonus. In the table below, you can see the percentage increase of adding a Voxies NFT to your party for each rarity tier. By bringing multiple Voxies NFTs into battle, the rates add up to make up your total percentage increase. For example, including 1 Rare (100% increase) and 1 Common Voxies NFTs (70% increase) in your party would give you a 170% increase to your base earn rate.

Here’s a breakdown of the percentage increase for each Voxies NFT rarity tier:

Now that we know what the base earn rate for Voxie Tactics rewards is and the reward bonus from Voxies NFT, let’s see how this translates to some real-world scenarios.


Let’s use a team composed of 1 Common Voxies NFT and 2 Voxie Recruits as an example. You start with a base rate of 5% to which a bonus of 70% is applied from bringing a common Voxies NFT into battle. The bonus from your team is then 3.5% (70% * 5% = 3.5%). Finally, you add this bonus to the base rate for a total of 8.5% chance of earning each reward (3.5% + 5% = 8.5%).  


To get you started, here’s a table showcasing your earning chances of a team of Voxie Recruits compared to 4 different teams containing at least 1 Voxies NFT:

Last week we announced the Voxie Tactics PVP Open Beta Pre-season, to coincide with the beta, we are proud to announce our pre-season ranked prize pool of 250,000 VOXELS!


The PVP Open Beta Pre-Season prize pool will be distributed out at the end of the Pre-Season  for the best-rated players (see prize overview and distribution graphics below). We invite all tactical fans and Voxie players to get ready to bring their A-game and prepare to face off against other combatants in our PVP arena to rise to the top.


#### How does it work?
During our Open Beta PVP Pre-Season there will be a single free unique arena that Voxies NFT holders and Free-to-play players can battle it out to climb the leaderboard ranking from RECRUIT all the way to CHAMPION.

Exclusive to the Pre-Season; all players will have a chance to earn Voxel tokens and/or NFT items after each victory in the PVP Arena. PVP ranking tiers and the Voxie NFTs in your party will also increase the chance of earning rewards. Player’s ranking scores (aka ELO score) will adjust up or down depending on the outcome of each battle (winning a battle raises their score while losing a battle lowers it).


Here's a quick rundown of what to look forward to:

- Bring your own Voxies NFTs or recruit in-game Voxies to help you in the PVP arena and compete against other players for dominance in the Pre-Season rankings leaderboard.


- Free-to-Play access options are available so that players will not need Voxies NFTs to participate in the Open Beta.


- Exclusive to the Pre-Season; Entering the PVP battle arenas will be free


- All 20 classes and all 10 races will be available to play in the Open Beta (No classes will be off-limits to Voxies NFT holders, bring your DOGE Hawknights and intimidating Dragons to battle).


- Bring pets into battle to assist you in bringing down your opponents

Pre-Season Leaderboard Prize Pool

Hello Voxie FAM, and welcome to the beginning of the future of P2E gaming, the moment everyone has been waiting for!


As you know Voxie Tactics is fast approaching an initial release, and we are taking this moment to announce the starting of our roll-out plans and delivery schedule. During this roll-out period, we will be gradually bringing online more and more components of the Voxie Tactics ecosystem and setting the stage for our full game release.


We are therefore happy to announce that the Voxie Tactics Multiplayer Open Beta will be starting the week of January 31st!  We invite all tactical fans and Voxie players to get ready to bring their A-game and prepare to face off against other combatants in our PVP arena. The Multiplayer Open Beta is a great opportunity for us to test the infrastructure and architecture we are putting in place, and also iron out any issues from having a massive influx of players, for both existing Voxies NFT owners and F2P players.


During the Open Beta, we will be starting a PVP pre-season event where we invite all players to compete against each other. This pre-season will also give us invaluable community help and assistance in testing the massive possibilities that Voxie Tactics offers.


**What will be included in the PVP Open Beta?**


- Bring your own Voxies NFTs to the PVP arena to compete against other players for dominance in a pre-season rankings leaderboard.

- Free-to-Play access options are available so that players will not need Voxies NFTs to participate in the Open Beta *(more details on the free-to-play characters, classes, and races to follow).

- Free arena for the duration of the Pre-Season

- All 20 classes and 10 different races will be available to play in the Open beta (No classes will be off-limits to Voxies NFT holders, bring your DOGE Hawknights and intimidating Dragons to the hustle).

- Bring any pets that your Voxies NFT have as companions to support you in battle and assist in bringing down your opponents.

- Play to Earn mechanics will be available during this period and players will be able to earn VOXEL tokens and NFT rewards for being victorious in PVP matches.

- P2E Pre-Season rewards will encompass both immediate rewards (pre-season only, chance of earning after winning battles) and end-of-season rewards for the best-rated players (pre-season prize pool details will be available on January 28th).

- Voxie Tactics account creation includes the ability to directly link your wallet to play with your Voxie NFTs and Voxie Tactics Item NFTs.

- Withdraw/claim any VOXEL token rewards you earn directly to your wallet.

- Customize your Voxies NFTs with Voxie Tactics NFT items and weapons that you have earned.

- Buy, Sell, and Auction Voxie NFTs & Voxie Tactics NFTs Items in our Marketplace using VOXEL tokens.


During the open beta, we will be focusing on the PVP aspects of Voxie Tactics and working on initial balancing and stats tweaking before the start of the first PVP season, therefore there could very well be killer combos and OP team setups that are just waiting to be discovered by you. This means that we will be continually balancing and adapting to the changing landscape as the Open Beta progresses.


**What is coming after the Open Beta?**


While the Open Beta is the first step in our initial roll-out period, during the weeks following the initial launch, we will be bringing more and more core components online as we scale up our operations. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come:


- PVE and exploration mode in the first Voxie Tactics area: Grassy fields.

- More in-game functionality for VOXEL tokens, including class changes and more.

- Earn VOXEL and NFT rewards in single-player battles.

- Improvement to stats and abilities balance based on the community’s feedback.

- The official start of Season 1 with both draft and extreme arenas, including BIG seasonal prize pools *(more details to come as we approach the beginning of season 1).

- Additional Marketplace features include NFT loaning capability and more.

As you know Voxie Tactics is fast approaching an initial release, and we are taking this moment to announce the starting of our roll-out plans and delivery schedule. During this roll-out period, we will be gradually bringing online more and more components of the Voxie Tactics ecosystem and setting the stage for our full game release.

Prepare yourself and get ready for battle, the Voxie Tactics PVP Open Beta Pre-season is coming!

## The Voxie Tactics game demo is out now!

The whole team at AlwaysGeeky Games could not be more excited for our community to try out our gameplay demo! We sincerely hope that everyone has a fun experience playing the game. With this in mind, here is an overview of what is included in the demo.

- **2 battle maps with light exploration –** The demo will feature a contained exploration mode designed to funnel players toward the battles on the map. This will give you a peek at the world where Voxies will be adventuring in the upcoming full game release.
- **A glimpse of the themes of the Voxies universe –** Finally, Voxies are getting a voice! The interactions you will play through have been crafted especially for the demo. They will set the stage for upcoming stories and questlines currently being developed.
- **8 playable Voxies with varied race and class combinations –** You will be able to tweak your party composition to enjoy multiple playthroughs. Will you optimize your battles by opting for a balanced party, or give yourself specific challenges? 

Try your hand at different combat strategies by choosing between the following party members:

- Human Time Mage
- Human Knight
- Doge Priest
- Fox Samurai
- Human Black Mage
- Blue Robot 
- Zombie Monster
- Human Ranger

- **A selection of gradually more challenging battles –** Enjoy 3 difficulty levels of fights against diverse monsters and villains. This is your chance to measure yourself against the Godly Mummy Voxie, which will be given even more advanced abilities in the future release of the game.

- **Unique weapons and armor –** This demo includes a great selection of items, types of armor, and weapons for you to equip and enjoy. This will prepare players for the full version of the game, which will have an extensive collection of in-game items and elements to earn!

- **Status effects and combos –** Learn that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts by uncovering the unique synergies that come from trying out different combos within your party. You will be amazed at the different tricks Voxies have up their sleeves to really punish your enemies.

- **Simulated wallet and rewards experience –** In this demo, players will be able to simulate what it will be like to earn rewards in Voxie Tactics once the initial release comes out later this year. Although wallet integration is not supported at this early stage, the items you will be “earning” as you overcome these battles can be used in following levels of the demo. Please note that these rewards will be confined to the demo only.

#### Roadmap of Features Coming in Future Releases 

- **Full exploration mode with multiple quests and storylines –** Players can expect a large-scale exploration mode across 7 different landscapes of the Voxie universe once the game is released. Quests will be unique to each location, with imaginative storylines that you won’t experience anywhere else.

- **Blockchain integration, player rewards, and a Voxie marketplace –** While the demo offers only a simulation of how players will earn rewards for completing quests, the upcoming full release will feature a true play-to-earn mechanic, where players can obtain in-game cryptocurrency and NFT items simply by playing the game. This will include such activities as participating in a virtual marketplace, crafting and “minting” of in-game items, and loaning.

- **PVP Arenas –** To the amazing PvE experience that is already a part of the Voxie Tactics demo, the full release will also add PVP arenas to let you pit your Voxies against those of other community members! We are currently developing the associated lobby and infrastructure and plan to include these features in the full release.

- **Playing with your own Voxie NFTs and in-game items –** One of the key features of Voxie Tactics is being able to play with your owned assets, including your Voxie NFTs! In the upcoming full release, players will be able to enjoy the unique strengths and properties of their very own Voxies, breaking them out of the confines of their wallets and taking them along on exciting adventures.

- **Racial abilities –** Although racial abilities have not been implemented in the demo version of Voxie Tactics, each race will have specific talents in the form of unique passive and active abilities once the full game is released.

- **Point and Click Mouse Integration–** We will be adding full mouse integration into the initial game release.

- **More Enhanced Animations–** You can expect a lot more animation varieties and more visually stunning abilities as we continue to make progress on the development cycles. This pre-alpha is just the beginning!

- **Fine-tuned balance for equipment stats, abilities, and difficulty levels –** Every effort has been made to balance the demo to make it a fun but challenging experience. However, there may be times where the balancing and stats are a little off. The purpose of the demo is to give a slice of the gameplay and mechanics, though it is not totally balanced at this stage. Difficulty and stats will be continually modified up until the full game release and beyond, with patches and updates.

#### Technical Considerations

We want to remind all players to only download the demo from the official Voxies.io website. This is the only safe way to access the demo.

We recommend the following PC specs for playing the Voxie Tactics demo release.

- CPU Speed: 2.2 GHz
- Memory: 4GB RAM

- Video Card(ATI): Radeon HD 5450

Integrated graphics cards are NOT RECOMMENDED due to performance challenges.
